Poor quality – bubbles around camera hole and edges,
First of all: the texture is more like a matted finish, much like the antiglare on your LCD monitor, but more grainy. This was a surprise, since it was not explicit in the product description.
Overall: Does the job, but really displeased with bubbles and decrease in resolution crispness (see below).
Pros:
- Price
- Easy to install
- Packaged well, screen adhesive was well protected in the package
- Anti-glare
- Had to get a replacement iPhone 4 (stupid dropped calls) and was able to transfer the screen protector with the same resulting quality (poor, but same quality)
Cons:
- The hole for the user-facing camera was not cut well, resulting in a bump around the rim that then gave me a big bubble around the camera
- Bubbles on the screen were easy to smooth out, but still remained on edges even though I was very careful not to touch the screen protector at all in the application; my guess is the adhesive on the screen was not very consistently applied in manufacturing
- Grainy texture really detracts from the crispness of the new iPhone 4 resolution
- Even though this is anti-fingerprint, the grainy texture still does trap oily residue that’s visible in sunlight, it’s just not as pronounced or distracting as a glossy surface.

Decent protection, but poor adhesion,
This film was easy to put on, without the bubbles that often occur. However, it proved to have poor adhesion–when I put a bumper on, it bubbled up at the edges, to the degree that when I put the phone in my pocket, the edge of the film caught on my pocket and peeled off. It was too damaged to reapply.
It’s cheap, but you are better off getting Powersupport films (such as Powersupport HD Anti-Glare Films for iPhone 4G 60-102120101). I’ve used Powersupport films on prior iPhones and they are great–durable and easy to apply. The one for the iPhone 4 costs twice as much, but then, it’ll stay on. The only reason I bought the Elago film was that the Powersupport film was not yet available.

Smudge filled is more like it,
Installation for it was ok, but prolonged use has produced permanent smudges in the film from fingers. Absolutely hate it and will be replacing it with a different screen protector.
